Dive into two incredible cultures with this adventure on the rails. Explore the Spanish countryside by train, journeying with the locals from Barcelona to Madrid to Seville and beyond, sampling the exotic side of this gorgeous country (and tasting food you’ll crave for the rest of your life). Spend a week in Spain before crossing the Strait of Gibraltar for another week to get to know the main highlights of Morocco, like Fès, Casablanca, and Marrakech, (as well as their souqs, mint tea and friendly locals). Grab yourself an experience you’ll talk about forever.


Day 1 Barcelona

There are no activities planned until an evening welcome meeting. We recommend arriving a day earlier to explore all that this amazing city has to offer.Included Activities:Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting

Day 2 Barcelona/Madrid (1B)

Barcelona is filled with the work of one famous resident, Antoni Gaudí. Opt to visit these masterpieces sprinkled throughout the city. Included Activities:Orientation WalkTransport:Train (2.00-3.00 hours)

Day 3 Madrid (1B)

Other options for exploring the city include the Palacio Real, Real Jardin Botánico or Escorial. Experience more nightlife at the Plaza del Dos de Mayo, in the area known as Malasaña. Taste some sangria and dance to the latest music.

Day 4 Madrid/Granada (1B)

Spend another morning exploring the city before catching a midday train to Granada.Transport:Local train (7.50 hour(s), 880km)

Day 5 Granada (1B)

After visiting the Alhambra, opt to take a wander through the whitewashed historic quarter of the Albaicin, with its narrow lanes and fantastic views. It is a great place to go for sunset. In the evening, opt for a night on the town. The city is filled with trendy tapas bars and has a lively music scene.Included Activities:Alhambra Guided Tour

Day 6 Granada (1B)

Spend another day exploring this charming city.

Day 7 Granada/Seville (1B)

Take the time to see all this great city has to offer. Opt to explore the interiors and gardens of the Alcázar, a magnificent palace dating from Moorish times, or the true heart of Seville, the Santa Cruz quarter— a charming area with winding alleys, picturesque lime-washed houses, flowery patios, and small squares. Seville is home to the world’s largest gothic cathedral — climb the adjoining tower for great views of the city. Other attractions include the Museo Arqueológico, the Casa de Pilates and the Parque de María Luisa, which has a maze of paths, garden beds, pretty little patios, fountains, and shaded lawns.Transport:Train

Day 8 Seville/Chefchaouen (1B)

Stop in Tangier for a guided tour of the medina before continuing on to Chefchaouen for the evening. The djellaba, the traditional hooded garment worn by the men and women of North Africa, was created here. Chefchaouen is a great place to check out many of Morocco’s ancient crafts. Day 9 Chefchaouen/Fès (1L)

Travel to the imperial city of Meknes and enjoy lunch at the G Adventures-supported women’s project. Day 10 Fès (1B)

Enjoy a half-day medina walking tour, with free time in the afternoon to explore more of the city. The Fès medina is the world’s largest living medieval medina and a UNESCO site. Day 11 Fès/Casablanca (1B)

Day 13 Marrakech (1B)

Visit the historical Koutoubia Minaret and gardens, Bahia Palace, the Mellah, and the Saadian Tombs.Later, opt to discover the secrets of this amazing, ancient city.
