CT Boucherie

Created by Claude Troisgros, Rio’s most famous chef, this innovative Leblon restaurant takes the idea of the churrascaria (traditional barbecue restaurant) and turns it on its head. Instead of all-you-can-eat meat, you order a main course – say a beautifully turned out rack-of-lamb, duck breast or grilled fish – and you get as many sides as you wish, served rodizio style fresh from the kitchen.

Polenta with passion fruit, char-grilled vegetables, oven-roasted tomatoes, ratatouille with quinoa, and sweet potato mash are among the many offerings. The setting is lively, and nicely designed (subway tiles, whimsical prints) with a welcome lack of pretension.
