We traveled by train to Toei Movieland. Then we returned to Oigawa River which flows into Lake Biwa. Katsu and Monica took a side trip to the bus station to pick up Jared’s camera, which was left on the bus the day before. We went by boat that was pushed by poles up river. A market boat selling drinks and grilled octopus met us along the way.















Our next stop was the bamboo forest at the Tenryuji Temple gardens. Then off to see an art exhibit at the Kyoto Art Center. Most of the art was displayed on the floor with pillows close by to sit. Then we shopped before dinner of sukiyaki and shabu shabu. Stuffed with food, we took cabs back to the hotel.
